Today, UK Wedding Planner Jo Pyman at One Curious Dream shares an update about her wedding planning services in the East of England. Read on for all the info you need!
Well guys, hasn’t it been a rollercoaster few weeks? Here at weddings by One Curious Dream, I think I’ve experienced every kind of emotion, from sadness, anger and frustration through to positivity and hope for the future.
Where are we right now? Somewhere right in the middle, trying to support my wedding planning and wedding styling clients in the very best way I can whilst navigating this set of ever-changing circumstances.
Personally, there’s no doubt it’s been incredibly tough for this beautiful little wedding planning business – a year’s worth of lost income would be difficult for anybody to cope with and while we’ll survive the storm here at One Curious Dream, many other businesses in the wedding industry are struggling.
I do feel it’s so important to remember that this awful situation has impacted so many across the wedding industry – from couples who were planning their weddings and venues who are still unable to open their doors through to wedding suppliers who have been entirely abandoned by the UK government.
Anyway, I digress and promise I’ve been doing far more than just moaning since the last time I posted!
With so many of my wedding planning clients based overseas, the last few weeks have been filled with very late nights and very early mornings working across different time zones to arrange wedding postponements, and sadly, some wedding cancellations too. It’s been an incredibly tough time for my clients but I’ve worked hard to inject as much positivity into an otherwise difficult process as possible.
Amongst the madness, I’ve also spent lots of time getting the wedding plans underway for some fantastic new couples, and I’m so excited about their weddings! One of the things I love most about the weddings I work on is the sheer variety of weddings I plan, and design – from beautiful marquee weddings and tipi weddings, private estate weddings and luxury hotel weddings through to weddings taking place in dry-hire venues, I love bringing the wedding vision of my couples to life!
I’ve also been progressing the plans for my existing wedding planning couples; in fact, it’s been jam-packed with lots of venue viewings taking place and lots of supplier sourcing in full flow.
It’s been so lovely to have a really positive reason to chat with both wedding venues and wedding suppliers, and I’m so incredibly grateful for the support I’ve been offered throughout this tricky time. In other news, I’ll be launching a range of new wedding planning and wedding styling services as we enter Autumn, so I’m really excited to see how you’ll receive them. Keep your eyes peeled for all the deets!
Finally, I’ll be opening up our 2023 diary from September; yep, you heard it here first! I’ve already had lots of enquiries from forward-thinking couples who are keen to get their wedding plans underway and with everything happening in the world right now, I’m taking this unusual step so that you guys can get the ball rolling.
If you’re hoping to get married in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridge or Essex and fancy finding out more about my wedding planning services, I’d love to hear from you! You can reach me on 0800 772 0765 or [email protected].
