How much do wedding planners cost?
As a multi-award wedding planner, I can tell you that this is a question I’m asked regularly!
Understanding how and why a wedding planner charges their fees will enable you to have a much clearer understanding of what we do for our wedding planning clients. So if you’re thinking of hiring a wedding planner to help you bring your dream wedding to life, today’s blog should be a worthwhile read!
I work with a wide range of couples who are planning a beautiful wedding across this stunning region! For the most part, my fees will be linked to your budget spend and start from just 10% of your overall wedding event budget.
My fees increase in line with the amount you spend, generally because there is far more work to do as a wedding planner. A higher spend will typically mean more wedding venue and wedding supplier communications, so it takes far more time to get the brief perfect for you.
My wedding planning fees increase for multi-day celebrations where I’m on-site with you for an extended period. For larger wedding budgets, I’m able to offer a fixed fee option so you’ll always have a clear understanding of how much my wedding planning services will cost.
What do Wedding Planners do?
As a wedding planning business owner, my main focus is to offer exceptional levels of client service – I’m flexible, responsive, and do everything I humanly can to make the wedding planning experience easy, fun and stress-free.
I undertake the bulk of the hard wedding planning work on behalf of my couples and am always on hand, generally day and night, to help you pull your wedding plans together. I offer unlimited expert wedding planning advice and professional wedding planning support whilst planning your wedding and ensure you enjoy the process as much as your big day!
Do you have a minimum fee?
The answer is yes! While most of my fees relate to your budget spend, there is a base fee that I charge, which ensures my costs to plan your wedding are covered. My minimum fee reflects several factors, including the tremendous amount of work and time I’ll put into planning your wedding. For example, under my comprehensive wedding planning service, I’ll spend between 150 and 400 hours planning your wedding.
My minimum fee reflects my vast experience, award-winning status, extensive knowledge, wedding supplier, and wedding venue relationships I’ve developed over the years.
Having an exceptional reputation for producing incredible weddings certainly means I’m not the cheapest wedding planner in the East of England. Still, having won wedding planner of the year for two years in a row, I’d certainly say I’m one of the best! Note: don’t just take my word for it – check out some client testimonials here.
How about wedding planner business costs?
It’s also worth mentioning that as a Limited Company, I run my wedding planning business as a commercial entity – I am a full-time, professional business which (sadly!) has a wide range of overheads.
This means that, unlike wedding planners who run their business as a hobby or a sideline business, I need to account for costs associated with running a professional wedding planning business. These costs include insurances, professional memberships, corporation tax, employee salaries, software subscriptions, marketing and many other aspects to keep my business running!
I’ll always acknowledge that there are cheaper wedding planners offering wedding planning services throughout the UK. However, I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “you get what you pay for”, and this never rings truer than when hiring a wedding planner.
The simple truth is that an experienced, professional wedding planner will know their worth and will truly understand how much work goes into planning a fantastic wedding for you. The best wedding planners in the East of England are highly sought after by clients who understand the value that a top wedding planner will bring, and because of this, they’ll be happy to pay the fees we charge to get the wedding they want.
I’m fortunate to be chosen as the wedding planner for so many lovely couples at One Curious Dream. I genuinely believe that when you choose me, you can be confident that I’ll move mountains to deliver the wedding from your wildest dreams!
So, when considering wedding planners in Norfolk, keep in mind that fees aren’t everything! Please do your research, don’t be afraid to ask questions about your potential wedding planner’s experience and approach and consider testimonials from past clients.
