A very quick update from me about my wedding event planning services and availability across the next couple of wedding seasons! There’s no doubt that the last few weeks have been a bit of a rollercoaster (understatement of the century, right?!), and there’s been lots happening behind the scenes at One Curious Dream.
Sadly, some of my 2021 couples have decided to postpone their wedding again (some now for the third time), mainly due to international travel restrictions and concerns about social distancing measures remaining in place. It’s been a tough time for these couples, but plans are underway for weddings across 2022 and 2023, and I’m confident we’ll find that magic again quickly!
What this does mean is that I now have a few gaps in my diary across 2021. As most of my regular blog readers will know, I’m usually booked up around 18 months in advance, so I rarely get the opportunity to work with couples who are planning a wedding in a shorter timeframe.
It’s worth mentioning that when I do get to plan weddings with tighter deadlines, I love the process! Once we’ve sourced the perfect wedding venue, there’s far less time procrastinating, which means couples make speedy (yet, still informed!) decisions about their wedding plans. Bringing wedding plans together in a short space of time is always exhilarating and a lot of fun!
Since the announcement, I’ve also been fortunate to welcome several new wedding planning clients and wedding styling clients on board. From micro weddings this year, through to larger celebrations next year and beyond, it’s been great to see you get your wedding plans underway again!
Now that we have a route back to normality, many of you are getting your wedding plans underway. This means that key dates across the wedding season, particularly for next year, are getting snapped up, and as I’ll be working with fewer clients as we move forwards, my availability is tighter!
If you are thinking of hiring a wedding planner and are hoping to get married next year, I’d highly recommend you begin shortlisting wedding planners now. Whilst I’m privileged always to be so busy, most planners will also have had a rush of couples hoping to plan weddings for next year, so availability across the board will be snug!
It’s also worth mentioning that the same will apply to both wedding venues and wedding suppliers. In fact, this week, I’ve been booking ahead for one of my summer 2023 weddings, and several wedding suppliers that I’ve reached out to are already booked. The moral of the story is that if you have your eye on an amazing wedding venue or wedding supplier, don’t wait! Get in touch and start the conversation.
In the meantime, if you’d like to chat about any of my wedding planning or wedding styling services, you can book a consultation with me (it’s no-obligation and free!) or drop me a line to [email protected]. This is a great opportunity to chat through your wedding plans in a little more detail, and I can then tailor a proposal to your exact requirements. I look forward to hearing from you!
As a reminder, I’m an independent wedding planner and I don’t accept commission or referral fees for the venue and supplier recommendations I make to my clients.
Based in London and Norwich, I am a multi-award-winning wedding event planner who works with amazing couples across the globe to plan and design incredible UK weddings and events.
