Joyce and Michael chose to make full use of the castle’s outdoor and indoor spaces, hosting a garden ceremony followed by drinks on the terrace and a reception in the main hall. It flowed beautifully – guests were able to enjoy every inch of the venue without it ever feeling formal or stuffy.
The Vibe: Effortlessly Elegant with Personal Touches
From the outset, Joyce and Michael knew they wanted their wedding to feel personal, stylish, and relaxed. They didn’t want anything overly fussy or traditional – instead, they leaned into a timeless look with soft florals, thoughtful details, and an abundance of love in the air.

As their luxury wedding planner, I worked closely with them to refine the final styling elements and ensure everything aligned beautifully – from the table layout and timeline right through to those final finishing flourishes.
The Ceremony: A Garden Moment to Remember
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect – sunny, warm, and with just a gentle breeze rustling through the trees. Joyce walked down the aisle to live strings, surrounded by smiles and happy tears. Their ceremony, held under a floral arch on the lawn, was deeply personal, filled with laughter, heartfelt vows, and a whole lot of joy.
One of my favourite moments? The look on Michael’s face as he saw Joyce for the first time. That split second of emotion is what weddings are really about.
The Celebration: Food, Fun and a Packed Dance Floor
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed champagne and canapés on the terrace before heading indoors for dinner. The couple chose a delicious, modern British menu that was both elegant and comforting – plated courses paired with carefully selected wines that matched the mood of the day.
Speeches were heartfelt (and hilarious!), and the dance floor was full all night long thanks to an incredible live DJ who truly brought the party to life. The energy was electric, and it was such a joy to watch Joyce and Michael surrounded by the people they love most, celebrating with full hearts and happy feet!
