A couple of years ago, I had the absolute pleasure of working with Becky and Tom to coordinate their beautiful tipi wedding at the breathtaking Culden Faw Estate in Oxfordshire. As their wedding planner, I worked closely with them to bring together a day that reflected their personalities from start to finish. We styled the tipis with wild, seasonal florals, wooden tables, soft linen runners, and twinkling festoon lights. Every detail felt natural, relaxed, and effortlessly stylish.
The couple held their ceremony outdoors, beneath the trees in a quiet woodland clearing on the estate. It was simple, heartfelt, and emotional—made even more special by their personal vows and the acoustic music playing softly in the background. Guests sat on hay bales and rustic benches, creating a truly intimate and magical setting.
After the ceremony, we hosted a drinks reception with lawn games, grazing boards, and plenty of fizz. The weather was kind, the champagne flowed, and the atmosphere was full of joy. Later, guests made their way into the tipis for a relaxed, family-style feast. Becky and Tom wanted the focus to be on good food and great company, so we designed the seating and table layout to encourage conversation and connection.
As an Oxfordshire wedding planner, one of the things I love most is helping couples blend style with substance—and this wedding was a perfect example of that. The florals and décor were beautifully curated, but nothing ever felt too polished or overdone. It was elegant, but still down-to-earth and personal.
As night fell, the party truly began. Fire pits were lit outside the tipis, a live band played under the stars, and the dance floor was packed all evening. It was the kind of celebration where everyone felt included and the energy never dropped—a true reflection of who Becky and Tom are as a couple.
