I’ve been wanting to write a post and share my thoughts about how weddings might take shape in the future given the impact of COVID-19, but the lovely peeps at the Huffington Post have done this for me!
This is a really interesting article that includes the thoughts of Bernadette Chapman, the head of the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners (UKAWP), as well as some fellow wedding planner members – take a look at the article here.
There’s some really interesting perspectives in this article and whilst I tend to take an optimistic view of what the future of weddings might look like, I think there’s some advice and ideas in here that could be useful for couples planning a wedding in 2021 or 2022.
One thing for sure, COVID-19 isn’t vanishing anytime soon, and as wedding planners, we’ll need to find new ways to ensure we can still deliver incredible weddings for our clients. In an industry that’s known for innovation and creativity, I’m hopeful we’ll strike a balance that will not only keep everybody safe but also allows us to plan and design weddings that are still beautiful, meaningful and celebratory.
