Welcome to our stunning collection of lovingly chosen props & decorations available for wedding hire. Whether you are looking for a few props to add the final finishing touches or are hoping to build a beautiful decor plan from scratch, our extensive range of props and decorations contains just about everything you can think of to ensure your wedding looks amazing!

Hiring props from One Curious Dream – FAQ’s
Where are you based?
The One Curious Dream prop hire studio is based just outside the city centre of Norwich, Norfolk (NR3 2AD) – there is parking directly outside. We provide props predominantly for weddings in Norfolk and Suffolk and occasionally in Cambridge, Essex and London.
Can I view your prop hire collection?
Once you have decided on which props and decorations you are interested in hiring, please let us know and we can arrange a viewing appointment. Please note that we only hold a small selection of our collection in the studio, and therefore we will need confirmation from you when booking your appointment of which items you would like to view so we can ensure they are on site.
Appointments are available Monday-Friday between 8am and 6.30pm and Saturdays between 9am and 2pm – we work on an appointment only basis so get in touch to check availability.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of our studio environment, we are unable to accommodate children (under 16 years of age) at appointments. We also ask that you wear sensible shoes as you will be visiting a warehouse environment.
Do you have a minimum spend?
Yes. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept bookings under £75.
Delivery & collection
We offer a delivery and collection service for bookings over £150 in Norfolk and Suffolk. All mileage (two return journeys) is charged from/to our hire studio (NR3 2AD) and your venue at 50p per mile and is invoiced as per the google maps calculation. We happily accept bookings under £150, however, we are unable to offer delivery /collection and therefore these will need to be collected and returned to our prop hire studio.
For bookings in Cambridge or Essex, we have a minimum spend of £450 to qualify for delivery. Mileage is chargeable as per the above.
Collections are arranged for the day before your wedding and returns on the day after during our studio opening hours. Please note, we close at 1pm on a Sunday and all returns will need to be booked before this time.
We will contact you to make the delivery/collection arrangements no sooner than two weeks before your wedding when our schedules for your date have been finalised. We take care of multiple weddings each weekend, so whilst we always try and accommodate any requested delivery/collection slots, these cannot be guaranteed, unfortunately.
If we are making a collection from your venue, all items must be packed in the One Curious Dream packaging provided and ready for collection at the agreed time. We reserve the right to deduct a fee from your security deposit in the event that our props are not packaged appropriately and ready for collection at the agreed time.
How do I make a booking?
Let us know which props and decorations you are interested in hiring along with the date and venue for your wedding. We will check availability for you and get the booking paperwork and deposit invoice organised from there. Payment is made by BACS transfer into our business bank account.
In order to secure your booking, our payment terms are as follows:
Bookings under £50: Full payment (which is non-refundable) for bookings up to the value of £50.
Bookings over £50 – Non-refundable deposit of 50% of total booking amount or £50 (whichever is greater) with the balance payable 30 days prior to your wedding.
Once your deposit payment has been received, these props will not be available for other couples to hire on your date. Therefore, we are unable to remove any props from your booking once a deposit payment has been made. We are happy for you to add additional items (subject to availability) if required.
Security Deposit and Handover Appointments
A £100 Security Deposit is payable via BACS transfer no later than 7 days prior to the Hire Date.
A collection/delivery appointment will be organised with one of our team either at our studio or your venue. All hired goods will be inspected on the collection/delivery appointment (when we hand the props over to you) and you will be asked to sign a document confirming the satisfactory condition and quantity of each item. On the returns appointment (where we receive the props back into our care) each item will be inspected for damage and in cases where this is found (or loss occurs) the replacement cost outlined in your Engagement Letter will be retained from your security deposit. Any damage or loss that exceeds the value of the security deposit will be invoiced and becomes payable within 7 days of issue.
Please note that the replacement fee is payable even in cases where individual parts or pieces of our garden games are lost or damaged as these will no longer be hireable to another party as a complete set. Therefore, we recommend you nominate a designated person to make a final check that all pieces (including counters, blocks, dice etc) are present before your returns appointment.
Assuming our props and pretties are returned in the same condition and quantity at the returns appointment, we will refund the security deposit via BACS transfer no later than 48 hours following your appointment.
How long is the hire period for?
In most cases, we allow a day for drop off / set up (if appropriate), the hire day itself, followed by the collection day.
