Welcome back to the weddings by One Curious Dream blog – I hope you had the most wonderful weekend! Not sure about you, but I, for one, am welcoming a little respite from the heat this week, though I do hope the storms don’t hang around for long.
Of course, usually at this time of year, our team of wedding planners are travelling across London, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridge and Essex to deliver the most magical weddings for our clients, but I think we all know this year has been turned upon its head!
Still, it’s nice not to have such an unhealthy fascination with the weather at this time of year when we’re usually weather addicts throughout wedding season, monitoring a wide range of apps to keep on track of even the smallest of changes. If you’re working with a wedding planner, you’ll already have a wet weather plan b (and usually a plan c and d as well!) in place, particularly if you’re hosting a marquee wedding or a tipi wedding. There’s lots of info and planning advice in our wedding blog about how to weather-proof your wedding, so do have a scroll through the blog archives if you’re worried!
Anyway, a speedy update for you today about our availability for 2021 weddings – in a nutshell, it’s looking very tight! As you can probably imagine, we’ve postponed so many of our 2020 weddings to next year and beyond, that prime dates are now few and far between.
We’ve had lots of wedding planning and wedding design enquiries across the past couple of weeks, and while it’s so heartwarming to see so many of you getting the ball rolling with your wedding plans, we hate having to turn people away. It’s worth noting that great wedding planners are usually very in demand and do get booked up quickly so if you are thinking of hiring a wedding planner, don’t leave it too late!
We offer a free, no-obligation wedding consultation which is the perfect opportunity to share your initial wedding ideas, ask any questions about the wedding planning process and find out more about how we work our magic! This session is always very relaxed and informal and can take place at a time to suit you, so don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’d like to book this in with one of our wedding planners or wedding designers.
As a reminder, our 2022 diary is now open, and we still have good availability, so if you’re hoping to plan your wedding a little further into the future, get in touch now for a chat!
We always advise that the ideal time to work with a wedding planner is around the 18-month mark before your potential wedding date. This allows plenty of time for you to make the important decisions without rushing and generally means venue and supplier availability is likely to be higher. It’s worth mentioning that we’ve planned weddings in much shorter timescales – 7 weeks is our current record so even if you are planning a shorter timescale wedding, get in touch as we may just be able to help!
We’ll be opening our wedding planning (across all of our planning services) and wedding design diary in September, and will prioritise those already on our waiting list so not long left to pop your name down if you’re interested in working with us.
In the meantime, I hope you have the most beautiful week!
