So, how has your week been? Not sure about you, but despite living through these strange and unusual times, it’s felt a little more ‘business as usual’ for the One Curious Dream team this week. Having spent the last few weeks helping our wedding planning clients postpone their upcoming weddings, it’s been nice to have a little time focus on chatting with some new potential clients – yay!
Despite the impact of C-19 on wedding planning, we’ve heard from lots of lovely new couples this week who are looking for help and support to plan their UK wedding next year and also in 2022. it may sound a little like I’m banging the same drum, but despite everything that’s going on around us, couples ARE still planning their wedding and wedding venues and suppliers ARE still being booked up. If you are thinking of planning a wedding in 2021 or 2022, and if you do want to work with a wedding planner, don’t leave it too late!
It’s always such an exciting time when we hear from new couples and get to hear their ideas for the first time – you lot are such a creative bunch and for our wedding planners, nothing is off-limits, so, no matter how wild the plans might sound, we’ll find a way to bring them to life!
I also really love the variety of the wedding styles coming through, this week, we’ve had enquiries for a Norfolk marquee wedding, a Suffolk tipi wedding and a London weekend wedding – can’t wait to get started!
I’ve also been marvelling at the power of technology this week. We’ve been hosting all of our new wedding planning and wedding design consultations online and it’s been super easy and effective. As somebody who usually works in London 2-3 days a week, it’s made me think more about moving our regular wedding planning meetings online with periodic face to face meetings instead – anything to reduce my carbon footprint a little!
We’ve also had a really busy week of supplier sourcing and are so excited to welcome some new faces to the One Curious Dream wedding supplier family – can’t wait!
I’m hoping that next week continues to feel a little more normal – we’re here, we’re planning amazing weddings and we want to carry on making this beautiful little wedding planning business as brilliant as it can be!
Anyway, duty calls, so I’ll love you and leave you for another week. Stay positive, peeps, and be excellent to each other.
