Well hey there! How’s your week been? I think it’s safe to say it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster of a week – most of us in the UK are still trying to figure things out amidst the lockdown and navigate our way through this new normal in our personal lives, and for businesses, particularly those in the wedding industry, it’s certainly been challenging!
As many of you know, the husband and I are now working from our home office so there’s been a whole load of learning to do on a personal level! I often work from home, so it feels very odd to be sharing what’s usually my space with John, but we’re getting there. If you’re working from home with a partner for the first time, may I suggest tea rotas, meeting for lunch and deciding on a playlist (or both getting a set of headphones!) to ease the transition.
Life at One Curious Dream continues to move forward, however. This week, our small, yet perfectly formed team of professional wedding planners have been focusing on supporting our clients as we move their weddings to 2021 and beyond.
As wedding planners, we’re really at the epicentre of the wedding industry, liaising with venues, suppliers and our wedding planning clients to try and find an outcome that’s best for all parties. It’s a bit of a juggling act with lots of negotiation between all parties, but, we’re getting there. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – we are SO blessed to work with the most amazing people throughout the UK wedding industry and I’m so truly grateful for their support under these circumstances.
There’s also been some light in the darkness too! We’ve welcomed a new UK wedding planning client to the fold and are so excited about getting their wedding planning underway. As a wedding planner, you pretty much know straight from the start when a couple is a perfect fit – these guys fall into that box. We’ll be planning and designing the most amazing tipi wedding for them, and we can’t wait!
We’ve also released some slots starting in April for our Pay As You Plan Your Wedding service. We devised this service last year because so many couples reached out for help but didn’t feel that they needed as much support as we offer through our comprehensive wedding planning services.
We also wanted to offer a wedding planning service that was affordable so that couples in the UK could access the very best wedding planning advice in a way that is financially viable. These slots usually sell out very quickly and we do only take on a limited number of clients so please do take a look and get in touch if you think this is a good, affordable wedding planning option for you!
We’ll love you and leave you for now but don’t be a stranger! Whether you’re a wedding supplier or venue, or a couple who need some wedding planning advice or are getting ready to plan your 2021 wedding, we’re still here and we’re still very much able to help!
